Hey everyone its Mike
As promised here is the newest 800 words, I just got home from the Daytona
Supercross, and that looked like a fun track, well except for the millions
of gallons of water that fell on it for the race!
Here is a little update of what has been going on for the past few months....
This year’s Supercross season stated out pretty well for me...I
was as high as third in points (after phoenix), and I did score a 4th
and a few 6th place finishes...However for the most part my Supercross
season appeared to be on track for a top 5 year (which was my goal)
however I had a big set back at the San Diego round...
The San Diego Supercross race was the last west coast round and I felt
like was going to be my break out race, i felt fast and confident, and
the dirt was really good...however the whoops were bigger than normal
,and even though I was fast in them ,this section didn't allow room
for error ,and during practice I spun going thru them ,dropped the front
end ,and had a big crash ...I ended up breaking my collar bone ,and
pretty much wrecking my season ..
I am in Florida now just as planned ,except I cant ride which is pretty
dumb , my family did a `good job setting up an east coast location for
me to train and prepare for all these east coast races ,and the city
I live in is very supportive of motocross ( there is two local tracks
in town) ,and over all the south east is a real nice place to train
,ride, and live ..
My brother Jeff has had a tuff year with injuries, but he has had some
moments where he was impressive. I think though overall its tuff not
being on factory team ,there is a lot of different struggles riders
have to cope with ,which sucks when your suppose to focus on racing
.
I have asked god for guidance and wisdom and he has set a course for
this season , I have been really working hard to develop my fitness
for this year’s outdoor season, which is usually difficult to
do if you’re riding ,and training for a Supercross race every
weekend .
My sites and goals are set on winning the AMA Motocross Championship
this year. I plan on giving it my all at each and every round , racing
for the win will be my main focus ,and my strength will come from staying
on course ,having faith in god ,my equipment ,my team ,and my family
.
Thank you all for your support, and please feel free to visit at an
upcoming event listed on the race schedule on this web site...
See you soon
